Abstract. The resistivities of thin films and fine lines of copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al) were measured by a resistance ratio method (referred to as “RR method” hereafter), which measures the ratio of room-temperature resistance to liquid-nitrogen-temperature resistance.
Under these conditions super-pure alum- inium (AI 99.999) gives the lowest resistivity, with copper and silver lying above this value. Zinc shows an extremely large magnetoresistance which rules it out for practical applications.
